Oh, this is in spite of interest from Everton, Liverpool, Arsenal and Barcelona...the story, whilst clearly heartwarming, is pretty pointless without the bit about other clubs being 'in for him'.
Finally - a bit of a disappointing rumour round-up this one - is the news that we're in the hunt for Lyon striker Frederic Piquionne.
The 32-year-old appears to be somewhat of a French Kevin Phillips, having kicked around the lower regions of the French League for much of his career before securing a move to Rennes.
He then had loan spells at St Etienne and Monaco before signing for Lyon in 2008.
His scoring record isn't great with a total of 33 goals in 138 top flight matches in France and, having hardly set the world alight at Lyon, he is now on loan at Portsmouth where he has scored three goals in 13 starts.
Oh, and the Shite are apparently interested in him...so he must be last!
