Wright deal nearly done.

The fee for the deal is rumored to be around £5m. That would be £1m less than Arsenal payed Ipswitch for Wright, and about £2m less than Derby wanted for Poom.

Wright has never really made an impat for Arsenal, but when he was at Ipswitch he was being lined up as David Seaman's replacment as England 'keeper. Can we help this dream along a bit? Who can say.

Owner Bill Kenwright told Everton's official website: "I can confirm we are at an advanced stage of negotiations with Arsenal Football Club for the transfer of Richard Wright."
