Time to give Rooney a chance ?

Rooney has been banging goals in all season for the youth teams, and has demonstarated ability and maturity beyond his years. The game against Arsenal showed that we need two strikers, so why not give the under 17 international a chance ?

You academy director Roy Hall certainly rates him! Hall said: "Young Wayne is being singled out, and quite rightly so"

If Rooney did play before the end of the season, he would be the youngest person ever to pull on an Everton shirt.
