After much speculation over the summer regarding his future at the club, the 25-year-old has finally signed a new deal that will keep him at Everton until 2010.
It seems that the club's summer signings have played a major part in keeping the defender at the club.
Yobo said: "I wanted a commitment from the club. At the end of the season I spoke with the manager and he told me the ambitions of the club and that was the first step. Then I accepted that I wanted to stay."
So things are looking pretty good for Everton at the minute and the prospect of seeing Lescott and Yobo at the back is certainly an exciting one.
If nothing else it should stop people moaning about our creaky defence as they bring the back four's average age down by about 30 years!
