MATCH PREVIEW
Sunderland return to the Stadium of Light as conquering heroes following last weekend's humbling of champions Chelsea, and now turn their attention to ending a run of 12 clashes without victory against Everton.
What we have to do is try to find solutions for us to score more goals and we will do this by looking within out own squad to see if there are any options we have missed
Everton boss David Moyes
Confidence and expectations on Wearside are likely to be sky high after the Black Cats' outstanding victory at Stamford Bridge, a remarkable turnaround less than a month on from their Halloween horror show in Newcastle. The home side will be further boosted by the return of top scorer Darren Bent, although the recent form of record signing Asamoah Gyan and on-loan forward Danny Welbeck leaves manager Steve Bruce with a welcome selection headache.
Everton must pick themselves up from a 2-1 defeat at home to Arsenal, a lethargic performance that brought their seven-match unbeaten run to an end. David Moyes recently chastised his side for playing "boring" football, but goals remain the manager's primary concern - his strikers have managed a combined total of just two Premier League strikes so far this season.
Moyes will also be keen to address his side's away form, which has produced just one league victory, although Toffees fans will take heart from their record at the Stadium of Light, where they have won on four of their last five visits.
