The 26-year-old moved to Goodison Park from Leeds last summer and has quietly gone about establishing himself in the Barclays Premier League.
After a slow start, Beckford has proved increasingly prominent for the Toffees recently and former forward Stuart believes there is more to come.
"I am sure he will feel miles better for having his first Premier League season under his belt," he told evertontv. "He will get another full pre-season here and it will do him a lot of good.
"He can look back at a first season where he has scored at Anfield and Stamford Bridge and that will fill him with confidence going forward.
"If he can get off to a good start next season he could score a lot of goals."
