Rooney is likely to make at least one appearance in England's two up and coming Euro 2004 qualifiers, meaning he will be away from Everton training for 10 days.
"If Wayne Rooney can play at Highbury and create a lot of problems for Arsenal, then I think he's a very good player. I think it's good for him to be involved at international level, it can't do him any harm. He might be ready to start against Liechtenstein, but I don't think he'll do so." Said Eriksson
"He's one of five forwards and I don't think you should expect him to start the game and score three goals. He might come on as a substitute, or he might not, but just to be there will be a huge experience for him."
