Rooney agent says fans shouldn't worry.

Rooney was due to sign his first professional contract this week, but this has been delayed whilst he signs for Pro Active sports, an agency that counts Kenny Dalglesh amongst it's owners.

Agent Paul Stretford said: "Until discussions are completed with his change of management the deal won't be signed.

"I don't know when it will happen but it should be in the very near future, we would hope so.

"Certainly there is nothing for anyone to worry about - we just have the best interests of the boy at heart."

Rooney is expected to sign a three year, £9,000 per week deal with everton in Decmeber, with his future salary being closly tied to his performances on the pitch.
