David Moyes has suggested, in the subtle way that he does these things, that selling Wayne Rooney has helped Everton. Really?
Moyes told the BBC: "They (the players) become very much as one. They look after each other. They are very good off the field as well as on it. Sometimes having a good team is better than having one or two individuals."
This echos some comments made by Alan Stubbs a few weeks ago, about how the players now took responsability for themselves rather than relying on Shrek to dig them out of a hole, which lets remind ourselves he only did when we were the main game on match of the day or Sven was in the crowd.
