Moyes' FA rap

Moyes was unhappy with the way Mark Clattenburg handled the 1-2 defeat, and he has been charged with two breaches of rule E3 and the FA charges states that: "It is alleged that the comments made referring to referee Mark Clattenburg on each respective occasion amount to improper conduct as they call into question Mr Clattenburg's integrity and/or imply that Mr Clattenburg was motivated by bias."

In other words the FA are not impressed that Moyes, along with pretty much everyone else that saw the match, thought that Clattenburg was a cheating get who was influenced by his 'relationship' with the Liverpool players.

It's now well documented that Clattenburg traveled with the Liverpool squad on last summer's tour of the Far East and his display during the derby matched suggested that his decisions were influenced by his relationship with their players.

In particular, his decision to change Hibbert's yellow card to a red after Gerrard has clearly had a word with him and his decision to show Dirk Kuyt a yellow card and not a red after his diabolical challenge on Phil Neville.

That's before we even get to the Everton penalty appeal he turned down in the last minute of the match when Jamie Carragher bodyslammed Joleon Lescott.

Moyes commented after the game:"I am not convinced about the first penalty. It was the coming together of two players. Steven Gerrard's arm goes across Tony Hibbert's before they come together and I think Gerrard slipped. Tony Hibbert did not make a tackle.

"The referee pulls out a yellow card and then the Liverpool captain has a word with him and then it becomes red.

"The decisions he has made happen in football games; you sometimes get them or sometimes you don't. But what we get in the last second of the game was a chance for it to be corrected and it was a result we deserved.

"A point was what we deserved, if not more and he does not give the penalty kick. If the other one has been more blatant than that one then I am in the wrong game!"

Moyes also told the players after the game that they should hold their heads up after the performance and that they were cheated out of a result.

The Everton boss has been quoted as saying: "But I have told the players 'no', they have been cheated today in decisions that have gone against you."

Which all, basically, translates as: "Yeah the ref was a cheating shithouse and I never want to see him referee an Everton game ever again!"

And who, apart from the FA, could argue with those sentiments?!

Moyes has two weeks to respond to the charges and, in all fairness, he must have a case as the now infamous display by Mr Clattenburg is widely regarded as one of the most one-sided refereeing displays ever witnessed at Goodison…and we've been privy to a few of those over the years!

The issue of whether Gerrard influenced the red card decision will probably never be resolved as neither party will come out and say what was said.

But the Kuyt 'challenge' was a red card offence, no question about it, and his decision not to award Everton a penalty in the last minute stank to the rafters!

But the whole thing was whitewashed by the FA and no action was taken against Mr Clattenburg and he was free to enjoy the following weekend off, due to a holiday and not a suspension, before resuming his duties for Fulham's 3-1 win over Reading on November 3rd.

And all this just a couple of months after Rob Styles was suspended, and an official apology given to Liverpool, after he awarded a dodgy penalty to Chelsea at Anfield!

And now even Man United have a grievance with him after his display in their 0-1 defeat at Bolton over the weekend.

So that's two bad displays by Mr Clattenburg in games which ended in defeats for both Everton and Man United…I bet he's even got one of those shitty Istanbul stickers in the back window of his Mondeo!

Kuyt, another shithouse!
