New signings Royston Drenthe and Denis Stracqualursi can bring an extra cutting edge to Everton's attack, says boss David Moyes.
Everton's dire financial situation meant Moyes had to wait until the final day of the transfer window to add to his Toffees squad, signing Dutch midfielder Drenthe on loan from Real Madrid and bringing in striker Stracqualursi from Argentina.Like most Everton fans, Moyes is now waiting to see how the duo adapt to life in England in the Premier League but he believes they can help lift the gloom that has surrounded Goodison Park in recent months.
He told the Liverpool Echo: "We are going to wait and see with the new boys. Royston is explosive and hopefully he'll give us a bit of that pace."It's something new for him to come to England but we will give him time. We needed to try and find something extra for us."Denis has a good goal record and hopefully we will see that continue here."
