David Moyes has highlighted the current plight of Sheffield United and warned their fall from grace could easily happen elsewhere.
As he prepares for the Carling Cup clash with Sheffield United, Moyes has used tonight's opponents as an example of what can happen if things go wrong and how quickly things can unravel at a club.
Moyes has been working under severe financial restraints at the club this summer with no high profile arrivals but he has warned fans of what can happen if as a club things are not done in the right way.He said: "It shows you what can happen. You can be a big club, but if you don't do things correctly and don't do things right you can find yourself in League One.
"It wasn't too long ago that they were in the Premier League, so that shows that if you don't do things correctly you can get yourself in trouble.
"They are a club with a big fan base who are from a big city, so it can be that things can go quite quickly wrong. I am sure they didn't plan it to go that way.
"I'm not sure whether their financial situation had anything to do with it. But that's football. We have to make sure we are not one of the big sides who can quite quickly slip away."
