Moyes: Birmingham game simply not good enough

Apparantly he was non too chuffed at our display in the 1-1 draw against Birmingham. OK, so drawing an away gam isn't bad, but we have to beat sides like that if we are going to qualify for Europe.

"We should have played much better than we did at Birmingham. I was disappointed because if we had played anything like then we could have won the game. The emphasis between now and Saturday will be on telling the players that they have to get back to the level of performance they had shown previously." Said Moyes

" We have set standards and we were below them on Thursday. It wasn't the best performance. It was closer to the worst. We will be looking to be back to those standards against Bolton.

"The way I felt, I wanted the next game to come straight after the one had finished at St Andrews - and I hope the players feel the same way as I did.

" Certainly I'd like them to play much better if they want to be involved. But we have still gone to Anfield and St Andrews and got two draws and psychologically it helps that we are unbeaten again now in three games.

"Hopefully we are building now another little run and we've got two home games now. Sometimes it is harder to get to the top than it is to stay there. All we need to do is to try to keep ticking over.''
