Not only are we still without, in no particular order, Phil Jagielka, Mikel Arteta, Victor Anichebe, James Vaughan, Jack Rodwell, Phil Neville, Leon Osman and Jospeh Yobo but, after last night's game, we have another three to add to the list!
Sylvain Distin, Dan Gosling and Jo were all withdrawn through injury during the win over Athens .
Whilst Jo's is not thought to be serious, both Distin and Gosling have hamstring strains - I told you hamstrings are the new knees - that could sideline them for a couple of weeks.
So that's now a full 11 on the treatment table and, goalkeeper aside, it's not even a bad starting 11....
Jagielka, Yobo, Distin, Gosling, Rodwell, Neville, Arteta, Osman, Vaughan, Jo - Anichebe on the bench.
And if anyone should suggest that we can't look to the injuries as a major factor in our bad start to the season then, well, the fella on the right will be coming for you....
