"I don't think anything started, nothing happened apart from an article in a paper,” said McFadden. “There was no approach to me, I don't think there was one to Everton.
"I have not played and I don't think anybody is going to be happy with not playing but we have a good squad and I am enjoying it at the moment I am not interested in anything else at the moment."
My guess is that within a few months McFadden will be the favoured strike partner for Marcus Bent, the kid's got the talent.
