Everton sign Jeffers and Martyn

Jeffers has joined on a one year loan deal, although there is no word yet on whether this binds Everton to buy him at the end of the season, a clause Arsenal were keen to have included.

Everton have also signed Nigel Martyn from Leeds for a nominal fee. Everton have done a great deal here, taking advantage of the fact that Leeds are desperate to lower their wage bill. Richard Wright will now have some competition, which should increase the overall standard.
