Everton chase Milan duo

Both midfielders have been tragets for David Moyes in the past, and it is thought that a large chunk of the managers rumoured £15m transfer kitty will be spent in Italy over the summer.

The left sided Van Der Meyde has struggled for a first team place since his £7m move to Milan from Ajax, and Emre has already stated his desire to play in the Premiership.

Everton's presence in the Champion's league (well, the qualifying round!) means that we will be much, much more attractive to this type of player from this point on.

Everton have a shortlist of players which is believed to include long-term targets Scott Parker, Simon Davies and Juventus' Steven Appiah.
