And so the Blues squad will split into two, as it did when Everton played Bury and Port Vale on the same day last pre-season, with half jetting off to Northern Ireland whilst the other half travel to Bury on pony and trap.
The game is being played to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Milk Cup.
No, not the one-time monicker of the League Cup, but the much celebrated (apparently) international youth tournament.
Speaking of the Milk Cup that we all know and don't love though, was that the worst name for the competition-that-Liverpool-said-they-would-never-enter-yet-have-won-more-times-than -anyone?
Or was the Rumbelows Cup a worse name?
Anyway, the game is due to kick off at 4pm at the Coleraine Showground and promises to feature a host of current Northern Irish internationals.
Which probably means that David Healy will play up front and lead to sepculation that Everton are planning a 'swoop' to take the erratic striker to Goodison.
Probably in a move funded by the sale of Andy Johnson.
Speaking of Johnson, Everton's top scorer last season has returned to training a month ahead of his team mates to ensure that he is fully fit for the start of pre-season after the ankle operation he underwent last month.
No doubt it's just so he can be fully fit when he has his medical at West Ham on July 1st!
Catch yourself on Hammers!
