Captain Beckham to shield Rooney

England Boss Sven Eriksson said: "I don't think I even need to ask David, he will just do it naturally. He does that all the time when young players come in and is very, very good as a captain.

"I'm sure that David will look after Wayne Rooney. He does that sort of thing very well."
