"We are going to do everything we can to hang on to him and, I think, being in the First Division gives us a very good argument that he should grow with the club.
"I think he appreciates that. We are very hopeful that, ultimately, we will hold on to him.
"We have had some big-money approaches in the past from Premier League clubs, but we turned them down and we are going to continue to try and do that."
To be honest i'd take this with a pinch of salt. Brighton are always going to say this, and the final choice is the players, and i can't see him staying there when he could play in the Premiership.
