"I think at the moment there is no particular pressure," Distin told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"You have two consecutive wins and you're in the top half of the table. Even if the fans are disappointed they can see that we try."
He added: "We try, we play and we definitely work hard so there isn't much more we can do. If we keep working like that, and playing like that, things are going to turn our way."
The Blues have picked up draws against Wolves, Manchester United and at the weekend at Craven Cottage, but defeats against Blackburn, Aston Villa and Newcastle have clouded their early form.
"You look at the table and we're not in a good position," Distin continued. "It's really early in the season obviously, but it's still not nice to be in this situation.
"At the end of the day and at the end of the game the most important thing is how many points we have. It was only one against Fulham."
