The left-back, 19, made 25 appearances for the League One outfit as a loanee last season and his return to Griffin Park was confirmed on Wednesday.
A product of Everton's youth academy, the Southport-born star has been on the Club's books since the age of 11.
He made his first-team debut in a Europa League tie against Belarusian side FC BATE Borisov in December 2009 and, at 16 years and 271 days, became the Blues’ youngest ever player in Europe.
Earlier this summer, Bidwell was involved in the first-team’s pre-season games at Morecambe and Blackpool, while more recently he has started Under-21 fixtures against West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United.
After narrowly missing out on a play-off place last season, Brentford have made a mixed start to the current campaign. Uwe Rosler's side managed just one point from their opening two games but bounced back last weekend with a 5-1 demolition of Crewe.
“I am very pleased to welcome Jake back to Brentford,” said Rosler. “He fitted in very well to our squad and our style of play last year.
“He knows what we do at Brentford and that will be an advantage to all of us. Jake comes to us on a youth loan but has a lot of experience at our level.”
Bidwell could make his second Bees debut away at Walsall on Saturday.
