Home is where the heart is.

They say home is where the heart is,well lets hope this Saturday that the boys show all the heart needed for those vital three points in our match v Leicester,who are already doomed to the Nationwide League.

The return to Goodison should see the boys pick up those most needed 3 points and hopefully this would be enough to secure safety for another season.In the matches we have left including this one,I would say that Everton could win or take something from three out of the four remaining matches.

Leicester,3 points,Southampton,1 pt,Blackburn,1pt at the very least should keep us safe but then with this club they like to keep you waiting till the last day and leave you sweating from first whistle to last before you can say,back to Anfield for the Derby match next season or oh well atleast we have a local derby with Tranmere to look forward to this season !!

The games Everton have lost have been to teams that we would have expected to lose to in anycase. Last weekend I thought that maybe we could at least sneak a draw with the chances we had but this wasn't to be the case. I thought the scoreline flattered Chelsea a bit but that's life.We must move on to the games we have remaining and make sure that we take something,starting with Saturday. This Saturday also sees the final apperance of Captain Dunc before he starts his suspension,lets hope the Big man can finish his season in style with a goal or two,maybe even a hat-trick !

Enjoy yourself on Saturday Dunc then have a rest for the push for Europe next season !!!! Well some team from Merseyside has to be there ! sorry Nick ! I agree with the Manager when he says,"We are not safe yet and we want to rid the club of this thinking we are safe then we switch off ! "this would be fatal for the club if players started just going through the motions then mistakes happen,it would be one big mistake to let this club drift away and fall into a lower division,that would be a disaster for the club ! As I have said we can pick up points from atleast three of the next matches so lets do so ! After the club's future is secure then maybe the Manager will dip into this £30 MILLION cash bonanza that the club has secured.

There have been various names banded about,that the club are supposed to be interested in.This is because the club needs a bigger squad as there have been alot of injury problems at the club this season.The Manager has seen the squad and knows who he wants to keep and maybe some of the names I have listed will come in. Headman,Koumas,Sharpe,Izzet,Zamora,Rob Keane,McAllister,(?) among others have already been linked with the club.

Also maybe Jesper Blomqvist getting a more permanent contract to keep him at Everton till the end of his career.Jesper has been left out of the squad to play Norway and now this must put his World Cup place in doubt. Jesper has an achilles problem and may miss Saturday's match v Leicester.

The other news I have for you all is the details for the 125th Anniversary match v Falkirk on Tuesday 30th April. The details are as follows Kick-off time 7.30,ticket prices are ;

West Stand £13.50 ADULTS @ £6.50 KIDS/OAP'S
Enclosure £11.50 ADULTS @ £5.50 KIDS/OAP'S
Terracing £10.00
ADULTS @ £5.00 KIDS/OAP'S

The nearest train station is Falkirk Grahamston which is near to the park,Brockville. I am looking forward to this match as it will be the first time that I have been able to see the Blues for a while. Before I go I would just like to congratulate the people behind the matchday programme at Everton Football Club,as they have just won the Programme of the year award,well done !

Also before I sign off I would like to wish former Everton star Andy Hinchcliffe all the best as a knee injury has forced him to quit the game. Andy spent eight years at Goodison in that time he won four England caps,FA cup and Charity Shield winner's medals in1995.He made 227 appearances for the club scoring nine goals.All the best to you Andy you gave your all to the people's club in Liverpool !
