All is quiet down on the good ship Goodison at the moment. After the excitement of all that happened maybe it's a good thing that not much has happened this week.
Not much except rumours of rows and fall outs and "it's my ball and you're no playing". The one big story surrounding Everton at the moment is the Davd Ginola,is he or is'nt he row, nothing to do with a famous hairspray advert a few years back but will David stay with the club till the end of the season.
The club say he will but there has been alsorts of noises coming from agents and the media, each with their own versions of the story. As far as I can see the club and David Moyes want David to stay till the end of his contract but there have been rumblings and rumours that David's old club Tottenham Hotspur may be interested in taking him back and may move before next weeks transfer deadline.
Now to matters on the International scene. Jesper Blomqvist has been recalled to the Sweden squad after showing some of his old form after his comeback from his long injury, nice one,Thomas Gravesen has been dropped from the Denmark squad ?! and Big Dunc has told wee Berti thanks but no thanks, and wished him all the best in his new job as Scotland manager,I also wish the wee man the best of luck in the job and its nice to see he is giving youth the chance in his first game against France on March 27th,live on BBC Scotland. The club's striking problem might ease for the weekend match with Derby. Reports suggest that all three strikers are fit and are pushing for a place to face the Rams in this vital match.
Nice to see Gazza helping his new club,Burnley to a 1-1 draw v Bradford. He played his first game for his new club infront of a Sell-Out crowd at Turf Moor, and played 85 minutes before being replaced by ex Celt Andy Payton.Gazza had a good first game and even got booked for a foul on Ex-Everton midfielder Stuart McCall as both of them clashed over who would get the OAP bus pass first !!! Sorry guys !
The only rumour that I have heard this week is, Ian McCall for assistant manager to David Moyes ?Watch this space ! McCall is the current Airdrie manager and they may be in trouble again with their receivers again,so maybe McCall would jump at the chance to come to Everton if he was asked. All that remains to say is Good Luck for Saturday boys and David the transfer window closes next Thursday, don't be afraid to spend a bob or two if needed !!!!
